EXPERIENCES

Is it not a pleasure to learnand to practice what is learned?

— Confucius

An experience begins where attention makes room for life as it is.

Not everything has to be hurried.A flower in the hand.Tea opening slowly in water.A breath remembered before the next word.Through flowers, tea, culture, and shared practice,we make a little more room, for attention, for imperfection, and for the simple pleasure of being here.

FLORAL

Learning through flowers

Rooted in the Ikenobō tradition — the oldest school of Japanese ikebana with over 550 years of history — this course offers a way of learning through flowers, where natural form, structure, and emptiness are held in quiet balance.Through its three principal forms — rikka, shoka, and jiyuka — ikebana can be both expansive and restrained, expressive and still, from small arrangements in daily life to compositions that hold the presence of landscape within a single vessel. The three-day introductory intensive is designed as an entry into this practice, bringing together technique, perception, and a way of seeing that extends beyond arrangement itself.
